Answers to the questions support gets most.

Getting started

Can I use Paygoro without opening a new business account?

Yes, and plenty of teams start that way. Connect a bank you already use and Paygoro pulls the balances and transactions into one overview, then handles bills, categorisation and reconciliation on top of it. The free plan covers one connected bank and 10 bills a month, with no card on file. Paying those bills from Paygoro is what needs a Paygoro account.

How fast can I actually start?

Signing up and connecting your first bank takes a few minutes, and your transactions are there as soon as the first sync finishes. A Paygoro account takes longer because it is a real bank account: verification takes one to two business days for most companies, and the IBAN is live the same day we approve it.

Who can open a Paygoro business account?

Companies legally registered in the European Economic Area, with at least one beneficial owner who can complete identity verification. We support most common legal forms: BV, GmbH, Sàrl, Oy, S.L., and others. What you get is a dedicated EUR IBAN in your business name, so it works like any other business account: invoices, direct debits, payroll.

Bills, books and your team

How do invoices get into Paygoro?

Three ways, all landing in the same inbox: drag the PDF in, forward it to your company’s Paygoro email address, or drop it into Slack. Every invoice is read on arrival, so the supplier, amount, VAT, due date and invoice number are already filled in.

What happens once an invoice has been read?

Paygoro matches it against your bank transactions. Anything already paid is closed out, and the rest queue for one approval. Approve a bill and the SEPA payment goes out from the Paygoro account you pick, with the original PDF kept alongside it.

Does Paygoro work with my bookkeeping software?

Yes. An approved bill is posted to your accounting package as a purchase entry with the supplier, the VAT split and the original PDF attached, and Paygoro keeps watching it, so a change or a registered payment shows up back on the bill.

Can my accountant and my team use it too?

Yes. Invite them with a role: owner, admin, member or viewer. A viewer, usually the bookkeeper, sees everything and moves nothing. Starter includes 3 seats and Business 10, and extra seats are €3 a month each.

Your money, the rules and the price

What can Paygoro see and do in my linked banks?

Linked banks connect read-only under PSD2. We read balances and transactions to build your overview, we never move money in them, and you can revoke a connection from the dashboard whenever you like. Payments only ever leave a Paygoro account.

Where does my money sit, and who regulates Paygoro?

Money in a Paygoro account sits with our licensed European banking partner, in safeguarded accounts, separated from operating funds and protected under EU regulation. That partner issues your IBAN and is supervised by its home-state regulator. Paygoro builds the product on top of those rails.

What does it cost?

Free covers one connected bank, 10 bills a month and one seat, with no card on file. Starter is €9 a month and adds a Paygoro account, 3 connected banks, 3 seats, 50 bills and 20 SEPA payments. Business is €29 a month for 3 accounts, 10 banks, 10 seats, 250 bills and 100 payments. Both paid plans start with a 14-day trial.

What if I outgrow a plan, or want to leave?

Going over an allowance never blocks a payment or a bill. The extra is simply billed per unit: €4 an account, €2 a connected bank, €3 a seat, €0.10 a bill, €0.15 a SEPA payment. Paid plans are monthly and you can cancel any time from the dashboard, and your data stays exportable while the account is open.
